Matt Walton

Matt moved from Indiana to North Carolina in 2002 to pursue a ministry opportunity and attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received his M.Div in Biblical Counseling. Upon arriving it wasn’t long until he met his soon to be wife, Jennifer. Together they have two boys who are currently students at HLA. Matt has spent over 20 years in ministry and currently serves at the Lead Pastor of The Passage Church in Knightdale. Teaching students and leading student ministries has always been a high priority in Matt’s life and he is excited to have another avenue to do that here at HLA.
