Our Team

Dori Collins

Dori joined the HLA team in the middle of the '22-'23 school year, jumping into Kindergarten with both feet. She has previously taught preschool, and as the mother of three, two of which attend HLA themselves, also has had experience as a co-teacher with HLA as well. She is passionate about helping children recognize their identity in Christ, and subsequently, how valuable, precious, and loved they are. She looks forward to partnering with parents in the education of their children, and in encouraging and supporting the deepening of their relationship with the Lord as well. 

Dori earned her B.S. in Communications from Appalachian State University, where she met her husband of 21 years. They have lived in Apex for the last 15 years, and have three children. Dori enjoys spending time with her family, being active outdoors, and reading; and is passionate about sharing the love of Christ, and pouring into others.
