Our Team

Annette Moore

Annette is thrilled to join the HLA family!  Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, she now calls North Carolina home.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Dayton and her Master’s in International Studies from North Carolina State University.  After graduating from college, she taught ESL in Japan and worked with a Christian ministry there.  She has also taught high school math, ESL (online), and worked with international students and scholars at a local university where she enjoyed planning new student orientation and handling visa and immigration matters.

In her free time, she can be found exercising, playing the piano and flute, and exploring new places with her husband and daughter.  Her favorite cuisine is Thai.  Hot cocoa and bubble tea are her favorite drinks.  Annette hopes to inspire the next generation to love and serve the Lord and use his/her gifts to glorify God.
