Emily Palacios

Emily Palacios was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. A year after graduating college, she met her husband, Santiago, in Grand Rapids and married in December 2011. Santiago's job moved them to Detroit, MI for about a year, and then to Birmingham, Alabama, where they enjoyed many adventures together! They moved to Raleigh, NC in 2015 expecting their firstborn. Fast forward seven years later and they have two beautiful boys: Mateo and Benjamin. Emily has been a teacher at various schools for over 10 years and is thrilled to be at HLA this year! It was God's perfect timing that this opportunity came about. Emily enjoys baking, crafting, meeting new people, and traveling!
