Carrie Hinson has been in the Triangle area since she was in middle school, where she ended up meeting her (now) husband at church. She went on to NC State to study Spanish language and literature and Education. She taught for several years for Wake County Public Schools.
When she became a mom in 2020, she decided to stay at home with her daughter, Claire, with whom she uses Spanish as the primary language to communicate. Carrie is very passionate about bilingualism, and how Spanish can be used to connect to people from 21 other countries.
Carrie is an avid crocheter, sourdough baker, and chocolate eater. She loves hiking with her husband, two rescue dogs, and daughter. Carrie is excited to join the HLA team to teach Spanish!
